Frittlingen, Baden-Württemberg - A false speed camera has become a topic of discussion in a small town in Baden-Württemberg, where it has sparked both interest and safety concerns among local residents. Located at the outskirts of Frittlingen on a firm property in the Tuttlingen district, this convincing replica of a speed camera has been installed, though the identity of those responsible remains unknown.

The property owner, who has expressed delight over the installation, has no intentions of removing the fake device. Local residents have noted a positive change in driver behavior, with many slowing down as they approach the area, according to local resident Raluca Thomas.

Thilo Wenzler, the owner of the firm where the replica is situated, stated that the installation is indeed effective in enhancing safety. The straight stretch of road has been notorious for speeding, with some drivers allegedly reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h during the rush hour. Previous attempts to set up an official speed camera at this location have been unsuccessful.

This specific fake speed camera does not contain any active monitoring equipment; instead, it merely houses an empty jar, cleverly disguised within the structure. According to a police spokesperson, installing a non-functioning replica is not illegal as long as it does not pose a risk to traffic.

The police department in Spaichingen is currently reviewing the situation to determine any potential legal implications, with the final decision regarding the future of the structure resting with the local authorities.

For many local residents, including Fabian Wühr, the consensus is clear: the replica should remain in place to continue promoting safer driving habits.
