Reggae jam comes of age

Tue 14th Aug, 2012

At the weekend of August 24th-26th, the Chiemsee Reggae Summer Festival will celebrate its 18th birthday. After so many years running, it can be rightly stated that this festival is finally coming of age.

Europe's biggest reggae festival, with more than 30 000 visitors, is sure to impress its devoted audience once again with a striking group of headliners. Reggae legends such as Sean Paul, Shaggy and Gentleman will bring classic Caribbean vibes to the south Bavarian village of Übersee. However, this year's festival revelers are in for a treat. For its very special 18th birthday, the festival will celebrate by hosting some of Germany's most popular rappers, such as Samy Deluxe and K.I.Z.

If you fancy a special weekend outside the city, then we would highly recommend this unique reggae experience.  The festival should be quite impressive, with everything from its chilled out atmosphere to world-renowned artist pounding the airwaves with their excellent reggae beats, all set against a beautiful alpine backdrop and the picturesque Lake Chiemsee.
