Private Island for Cruises Set to Open Soon at a Cost of EUR572 Million

Nassau, Bahamas - A new private island designed specifically for cruise passengers is nearing completion, offering a luxurious getaway in the heart of the Caribbean. The island, named Celebration Key, is located in the northern Bahamas and is developed by the renowned Carnival Cruise Line, with its grand opening slated for July 19, 2025. The initial visit by cruise travelers will be aboard the Carnival Vista.

The island is designed to provide an array of attractions, including an impressive water slide that spirals between two freshwater pools, catering primarily to younger visitors.

The island's amenities include a dedicated children's area featuring the waterslide, the 'Starfish Lagoon' for sports activities, and an exclusive adult-only Beach Club, complete with daybeds, private loungers, and luxurious villas. Additionally, there will be a lagoon that features a swim-up bar for guests to enjoy.

One of the most remarkable features of Celebration Key is its extensive freshwater lagoon, touted as the largest in the Caribbean. This lagoon, along with two others on the island, will be replenished through a seawater desalination system, ensuring a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to the island's water management.
