The online payment service PayPal is set to move its German headquarters from Europarc Dreilinden to the iconic Kranzler Eck located on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm. The transition is scheduled for early 2026, marking a significant shift after more than 20 years at the previous site.

PayPal will occupy approximately 2,000 square meters on the seventh floor of the Kranzler Eck office tower, where it has signed a five-year lease. The decision to relocate comes as the company aims to enhance its operational capabilities in a more central and accessible location.

The Europarc Dreilinden site, situated southwest of Berlin in Kleinmachnow, will be returned to the landlord, signifying the end of an era for PayPal in that area. The Kranzler Eck, owned by a French investment company under the Axa insurance group, is currently undergoing significant renovations. These plans, led by the New York-based architectural firm HWKN, aim to modernize the property while respecting its historical significance.

As PayPal prepares for its move, employees can expect to navigate a construction zone, as the renovation will involve creating new access points to connect the building with the bustling intersection of Kurfürstendamm and Joachimsthaler Straße. Additionally, the project includes innovative uses for balconies and rooftop spaces, along with green areas and a venue within the courtyard, which had previously housed two large aviaries.

This relocation underscores PayPal's commitment to remaining at the forefront of the digital payment industry while adapting to the evolving landscape of corporate environments. The move to a more prominent location is anticipated to facilitate better collaboration and innovation within the team.
