As the winter holidays draw to a close, the weather in Berlin and Brandenburg is expected to remain predominantly gray. The German Weather Service (DWD) has forecast dense clouds and some areas of fog, with little to no sunshine expected throughout the day. Although conditions will be dreary, the region will remain dry.
The daytime temperatures are projected to range between 3 and 5 degrees Celsius, accompanied by light winds coming from the northeast. On Friday, the outlook is similar, with persistent cloud cover and a chance of light rain. However, there may be some breaks in the clouds by the afternoon, allowing for brief moments of sunshine. The maximum temperatures on Friday are forecasted to be between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the weather is expected to remain largely dry, but nighttime temperatures will drop, leading to frost in many areas. On Saturday, only the southern parts of Brandenburg are likely to see any sunshine, while Sunday is expected to bring clearer skies across the entire region. Temperatures may reach up to 5 degrees Celsius during the day, but will plummet to between minus 2 and minus 4 degrees Celsius overnight.
Residents are advised to prepare for the chilly conditions while hoping for a glimpse of sunshine as the weekend approaches.
