Near-Fatal Dispute in Chemnitz: Woman Pushes Elderly Lady in Front of Bus

A serious incident occurred in Chemnitz, Saxony, where a dispute escalated into a potentially deadly confrontation. The altercation involved three women aged 40, 49, and 67, which began as a verbal exchange outside the main train station in the city.

According to police reports, the argument intensified around 4:10 PM on a Sunday afternoon. While the specific cause of the disagreement remains unclear, it culminated in an alarming act of violence.

The 40-year-old woman allegedly pushed the 67-year-old woman into the path of an approaching bus at a nearby bus stop. The elderly victim was struck by the vehicle, which threw her onto the pavement. Fortunately, she was not run over but sustained serious injuries and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Law enforcement officials apprehended the 40-year-old suspect at the scene. A breathalyzer test revealed that she had a blood alcohol content of nearly 1.5 per mille, indicating significant impairment. In light of the circumstances, the public prosecutor's office has requested pre-trial detention on charges of attempted manslaughter.
