A massive security effort is being prepared in Munich for the upcoming trial of neo-nazi Beate Zschape next week.
The Higher Regional Court of Munich, where the trial will take place, will be surrounded by 600 stopping signs. The police are gearing up for a "very high level of security."
In response to the upcoming trial members of over 200 anti-racism groups and initiatives will be coming to Munich on Saturday to protest the issue of neo-nazism and everyday racism. The protest will begin at 1pm.
Police are expecting many more spontaneous protests to occur over the next week. Traffic delays are expected, and there may be a risk of pro-neo-nazi groups turning up as well.
