Munich enters race for hosting future Olympic Games

Munich has officially declared its interest in hosting the Summer Olympic Games in 2036, 2040, or 2044, the city's sports authorities announced recently. The decision marks the beginning of a multi-stage bidding process that could take several years before a final decision is made by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The German city, which previously hosted the controversial 1972 Summer Olympics, is now positioning itself once again as a candidate to host one of the world's most prestigious sporting events.
