Munich. A tragic accident occured at the Wiesn when a 72 year old visitor fell in Wirtsbudenstraße and died later in the hospital.
The man from Lower Saxony fell, according to police reports, on Monday afternoon. Before the accident he had visited one of the beer tents and was "heavily drunk". He suffered a head wound from his fall and was treated initally by rescue workers before he was brought to hospital. He resisted heavily against the hospital visit and only police were able to reason with the man and make him go to the hospital for treatment.
Shortly after he arrived in the hospital he suffered cardiac arrest and could not be reanimated.
