In a significant operation on Sunday afternoon, law enforcement officials apprehended a 27-year-old man at Berlin's Hauptbahnhof after uncovering substantial quantities of illegal drugs and cash.

At approximately 3 PM, officers conducted a routine check on the suspect, leading to the discovery of five bags containing around two kilograms of narcotic tablets. In addition to the drugs, the man was found in possession of approximately 1,500 euros in cash. Notably, he also had a canister of animal deterrent spray readily accessible in his jacket pocket.

The police, suspecting involvement in drug trafficking, proceeded to confiscate the narcotics, cash, and the animal spray. Subsequently, they took the individual into custody for further investigation.

The Federal Police have initiated legal proceedings against the suspect, who is already known to authorities, on charges relating to violations of the Narcotics Act and possession of a weapon. After completing the necessary police procedures, the suspect was transferred to the custody of the Berlin Police for further questioning and processing.

This incident highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug-related offenses and maintain public safety in one of Germany's busiest transport hubs.
