Mainz Hosts IT Security Day Focused on Artificial Cyber Intelligence

Thu 3rd Apr, 2025

The upcoming IT Security Day in Mainz is set to explore the impactful role of artificial intelligence in enhancing cybersecurity measures. Scheduled for May 14, 2025, this event marks the second iteration of the conference in Mainz, addressing the theme of Artificial Cyber Intelligence.

Organized by heise and Hochschule Mainz, the conference aims to attract a diverse audience including security professionals, hackers, IT project managers, and students. It provides a platform for discussing critical issues such as the identification of fake news, improving penetration testing, ensuring compliance with GDPR in AI models, and supporting the establishment and operation of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

As industries grapple with the dual-edged nature of large language models (LLMs) and AI technologies, the focus will be on their applications within software development. While these technologies can facilitate coding, they also pose new security challenges. The conference will include discussions on how chatbots can assist with compliance to both regulatory and internal standards.

Key topics for the Mainz IT Security Day include:

  • Will AI Replace Programmers? - Live Hacking Session Featuring KIKI and IT Basic Protection
  • Fully Homomorphic Encryption - A Secure AI Usage in the Cloud
  • The Terminator Effect: AI-driven Compliance Checking
  • Out of Scope - Observing What You Cannot See

Attendees will also have ample networking opportunities through various discussion panels and during coffee breaks between sessions.

For those interested in attending, early bird tickets are available until April 16, allowing participants to save 20%. Regular admission is priced at 199 euros, inclusive of VAT. Additional details about the IT Security Day can be found on the conference's official website, with direct access to ticket purchases available there.

Following the Mainz event, the IT Security Days will also be held in Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen later in the year, focusing on resilience in IT security and risk management.
