Munich. The strike in public local transport continues on Monday. The MVG plans to substitute permanent striking staff with temporary workers in the meantime.
In Munich and Nuremberg trams are affected by the strike, less than the U-Bahn and buses, according to public transportation services. A spokesperson for the MVG informed that the delays will be limited. To relieve staff that are not on strike, the MVG will use temporary workers.
The strike of the Trade Union for Engine-Drivers and the German Civil Service Association in Munich, Augsburg and Nuremberg began on Friday.
The actual position according to the MVG message:
U-Bahn: All lines are operating, with 10 minute intervals.
Tram: All lines operating as normal, but line 16, 12 and 26 will have some delays and service cancellations.
