Five Interactive Webinars on Apple Device Management Announced

Heise has announced a series of five live webinars focusing on the efficient management and security of Apple devices within corporate environments. The webinars, designed for IT professionals and administrators, will provide participants the opportunity to engage directly with the seasoned expert Mark Zimmermann, who will facilitate discussions and answer specific queries.

This comprehensive webinar series, titled Strategies for Apple Device Management, will cover a range of topics from fundamental principles to advanced automation techniques over the course of five weeks. Participants will learn how to effectively manage a diverse array of devices, including those running on visionOS and watchOS, while emphasizing Apple's proprietary technologies that remain applicable regardless of the specific Mobile Device Management (MDM) system in use.

  • May 12, 2025: Nuances of ABM and MDM
  • May 19, 2025: Enhancing Productivity with Apple Intelligence
  • May 26, 2025: Privacy and Security Standards in Apple's Ecosystem
  • June 2, 2025: Automating Processes and Introduction to Apple Business Essentials

The first session will introduce participants to essential Apple portals, particularly the Apple Business Manager (ABM). Attendees will learn how to efficiently integrate devices via the ABM, manage software licenses, and implement initial MDM configurations. The second webinar will delve deeper into device management scenarios, teaching participants how to set advanced policies in ABM and tailor MDM configurations to meet their specific needs.

In the third session, the focus will shift to optimizing daily operations using Apple devices. Mark Zimmermann will demonstrate how to leverage integrated productivity features like Notes, Reminders, shared iCloud collaboration, and the universal clipboard. The fourth webinar will address the stringent privacy and security measures inherent to Apple's ecosystem, detailing the mechanisms Apple employs to safeguard privacy and data security, alongside best practices for implementing MDM policies.

The concluding session will provide insights into automating routine tasks within the Apple environment using scripts, Automator workflows, and the Apple Configurator. Additionally, participants will gain a preview of Apple Business Essentials, a solution that simplifies the Apple ecosystem for small and medium-sized enterprises, which is already available in the USA.

Each session will be held on Mondays from 9 AM to 1 PM, offering an interactive format where participants can ask questions and contribute to the dialogue, allowing for tailored discussions based on their specific challenges.
