Lagwagon and Useless I.D. rock the Feierwerk

This past weekend legendary pop-punk outfit Lagwagon performed to a sold out audience at the Feierwerk's Hansa 39.

Local punk band Screed opened with mostly old material even though their new album has been recorded and will be released in October.  Their style fits quite well with touring bands as they describe themselves as being in the vein of NOFX and Fat Wreck Chords bands.  Screed's last album can be downloaded for free at their website, which you can find here.

The Second band of the night was Isreal's most famous punk band, Useless I.D.  They performed an energic set to a sing-a-long audience, though their music is certainly more popy than their label mates Lagwagon.

Lagwagon are always a big event in Munich and easily have sold out every show they've played here in the last ten years.  Each time they are here they seem to pick a different venue, and this time they actually chose a smaller one than previous tours.  Hansa 39 was packed, with nearly no air circulation, so much so that Lagwagon raced through their hour and a half set with less talking than usual for singer Joey Cape.
