Today, Lufthansa flight attendants take off from Munich to Mexico City, followed by the Trachten flight to Washington on September 24. For many years, wearing traditional Bavarian attire, or "Tracht," on various European and German routes departing from Munich has been a tradition during Oktoberfest. During the Oktoberfest season, Lufthansa's passenger service employees at Terminal 2 also welcome passengers dressed in Tracht instead of the usual Lufthansa uniforms, with ladies donning Dirndls and gentlemen wearing Trachtenanzüge.

The attire for the long-haul flight crew was once again designed and tailored by Munich's Tracht specialist, Angermaier, this year. Like in previous years, the collection is certified under "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX," ensuring that all components and materials were sustainably produced and processed. To keep transportation routes short, the fabrics were woven exclusively in Austria and manufactured in Europe.

Even above the clouds, it's Oktoberfest time. Lufthansa will continue to serve Bavarian specialties in the First and Business Class until the end of September. In the lounges at Terminal 2, traditional Bavarian treats are also being served.
