Search Intensifies for Missing Woman Tanja K.-P. in Schleswig-Holstein

Authorities in Eckernförde, Schleswig-Holstein, are ramping up efforts to locate Tanja K.-P., a 43-year-old woman who has been reported missing under suspicious circumstances. Investigators are focusing their search on a marshy area near the Windebyer Noor, where tracking dogs indicated a potential lead.

The search operations, which resumed on Tuesday evening, centered around the swamp and water regions adjacent to the area. A police spokesperson confirmed that a tracking dog picked up a scent near a building close to the Noorfischerei, suggesting that the missing woman's remains could be hidden in this challenging terrain.

Investigators suspect that Tanja K.-P. may have been a victim of foul play, with her husband, Stanislav P. (49), emerging as a person of interest. The police believe that he may have concealed her body approximately 15 kilometers from their family home. Despite extensive searches around the couple's residence and nearby streets, no significant evidence has been uncovered.

As part of their investigation, police have also been examining a gray Mercedes van associated with Stanislav P. They are asking for public assistance in locating the vehicle, which was seen in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde area during the night of March 22. Witnesses who have information regarding the van's whereabouts are urged to contact the authorities.

Moreover, Tanja K.-P.'s mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy A53, has not been recovered. Last known signals from the device were traced to a cell tower in Kochendorf, raising further concerns about her safety.

Stanislav P. reported his wife missing on March 26, claiming that he dropped her off near Eckernförde the previous Friday. However, inconsistencies in his statements have raised suspicions among investigators. Although he was briefly detained, he was released due to a lack of concrete evidence, while police continue to suspect a homicide.

As the investigation continues, a reward of 3,000 euros has been offered for information leading to Tanja K.-P.'s whereabouts. The police remain committed to uncovering the truth behind her disappearance and are encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
