Hong Kong Court Overturns Convictions of Tiananmen Vigil Activists

In 2023, they were sentenced to prison for failing to comply with demands from national security police regarding the group's membership and financial records, each receiving a sentence of 4.5 months, which they have now completed.

The ruling issued by the five judges of the Court of Final Appeal on March 6 highlighted procedural issues in the prosecution's case. The judges determined that the prosecution had omitted critical information, which they deemed deprived the activists of a fair trial, leading to a miscarriage of justice.
