Yesterday, an 88-year-old woman in Bogenhausen managed to cause numerous accidents in just a few minutes behind the wheel.
At around 7.15 pm, the elderly woman got into her car and began driving down the Pienzenauerstrasse where she hit a parked car. She continued on only to encounter a few other obstacles 400 meters further along. She hit another, pushing her vehicle over onto the left side of the street where she was stopped by another parked automobile, which was catapulted forward onto two more that were parked in front of it.
The damage caused by her short trip down the street amounts up to around EUR37.000 and had the Pienzenauerstrasse closed for over three and a half hours while police officers assessed the accident and the damage.
The woman had minor injuries as later discovered when she was checked out at a hospital nearby. She suffered from a couple of lacerations as well as a concussion.
