Armed Robbery at Bank in Göllheim Shakes Community

In Göllheim, an armed robbery occurred at a local bank early this morning, causing alarm among residents. The incident took place around 7:30 AM when a masked individual entered the bank located in the town's marketplace.

The perpetrator, brandishing a firearm, demanded cash from the bank employees, who complied under duress. The exact amount of money stolen remains undisclosed.

Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene on foot through a side entrance, heading towards the residential area of Göllheim. Local law enforcement agencies have launched a comprehensive search for the assailant, with aerial support from a police helicopter.

The suspect is described as approximately 1.85 meters tall, with blue eyes and a short beard. He was seen wearing a black ski mask, leather gloves, black cargo pants, and white sneakers. Additionally, he donned a worn dark blue parka with a zipper and buttons over a dark green hooded sweatshirt. Eyewitness reports suggest the suspect was armed with a black pistol.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. However, the bank staff members involved are receiving medical attention due to the trauma experienced during the robbery.

The Criminal Investigation Department in Worms is currently handling the case and is urging the public to assist with any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspect.
