Forecast: High Temperatures and Abundant Sunshine Ahead

Fri 4th Apr, 2025

As spring unfolds, residents can look forward to warm temperatures and sunny skies today, with meteorologists predicting a delightful day across the country. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), maximum temperatures are expected to range from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.

While many will enjoy the pleasant weather, coastal areas may experience slightly cooler conditions. For instance, temperatures along the Baltic Sea are forecasted to be between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius. Similarly, mountainous regions such as the Saxon highlands are projected to see highs of only 13 to 18 degrees Celsius.

However, a notable change is on the horizon as temperatures are set to drop significantly over the weekend. On Saturday, the northern parts of the country will experience cooler weather, with highs ranging from 8 to 16 degrees Celsius. In contrast, the southern regions will remain warmer, especially in the Upper Rhine area, where temperatures could reach as high as 23 degrees Celsius. The Alps, however, should prepare for an influx of clouds and intermittent rain.

By Sunday, the cooling trend will continue, particularly in southern Germany, where maximum temperatures are expected to plummet to just 14 degrees Celsius. In the eastern regions, the situation will be even cooler, with temperatures potentially dipping to around 10 degrees Celsius.

With this shift, it's advisable for individuals to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts and prepare for the upcoming chill. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the sunny day by heading outside, but also to keep an eye on the forecast as conditions change.
