A significant fire erupted in a high-rise building located in the Falkenhagener Feld area of Berlin shortly after midnight, prompting an emergency response. The blaze was first noticed on a balcony, with flames quickly spreading and producing heavy smoke throughout the structure.

During the chaotic scene, an individual jumped from the second floor of the building in a desperate attempt to escape the flames. This person sustained serious injuries and received immediate medical attention from paramedics on-site, before being airlifted to a specialized hospital for further care. Additionally, another resident of the building sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby clinic for treatment.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with local authorities working diligently to determine the circumstances that led to this incident. Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene, where they found the fire already well-established, engulfing the balcony and causing smoke to infiltrate multiple floors of the building.

As a precautionary measure, several residents were evacuated and temporarily relocated due to the unsafe living conditions created by the fire and smoke. Emergency services continue to assess the situation and provide assistance to those affected.
