Father Admits Guilt in Daughter's Abuse Case, Claims It Was Not Serious

A man has confessed to offering his nine-year-old daughter for sexual exploitation on an adult platform, leading to his arrest in Berlin. The 53-year-old defendant appeared before the Berlin District Court, where he stated that he is guilty of the charges against him but insisted that he never intended to actually hand his daughter over to strangers. His defense attorney described the defendant's actions as 'eroticized' expressions rather than genuine offers.

The man, who has a prior conviction for sexual offenses, faces 13 charges related to his daughter. Between 2023 and 2024, he reportedly engaged in inappropriate conduct towards her within their home in Berlin-Neukölln and took intimate photographs. Additionally, during October 2024, he allegedly offered his daughter for abuse to unknown users online and shared explicit images of her.

In court, the defendant explained that after a prior conviction in 2008, he sought to start a 'completely new life' with a new partner, resulting in three children. However, he claimed that ongoing disputes and accusations from his partner, who has since started a new relationship, contributed to his actions. The defendant admitted to consuming alcohol and writing the messages without thoughtful consideration, asserting that these were not intended as serious propositions.

Following his arrest in November 2024, the defendant lost contact with his children and former partner. He has since relinquished custody rights and expressed deep remorse for his actions, stating, 'I am incredibly sorry for what I have done to my children.'

The trial, which includes charges of sexual abuse of minors, preparation for child sexual abuse, and the production and distribution of child pornography, is set to continue on April 24, 2025.
