Zamanand Festival
Join us for the Zamanand Festival, featuring an array of festival stages filled with music and dance. The highlight is the M-net main stage at the university, showcasing electronic sounds on Saturday and a diverse lineup of live acts on Sunday, ranging from danceable indie pop to atmospheric electronic sets, funk, soul, and blues.
The M-net World at the Siegestor connects climate protection with festival fun, offering a bouncy castle and chill-out zone. At Zamanand in Europe at Odeonsplatz, you can participate in engaging panel discussions, creative workshops, and thrilling live music, all in the spirit of European unity!
The Zamanand Rockstage above the Altstadttunnel will unleash eight bands featuring grunge, metal, southern rock, and progressive genres. Experience rock above and traffic below (corner of Ludwigstraße/Oskar-von-Miller-Ring). The M94.5 stage showcases talented Munich artists, while the Kollektiv Arkaden at Ludwigskirche focuses on electronic dance music.
Additionally, enjoy a world dance stage, an Artist Jam Community stage with pop, punk, and metal from the city's hobby music community, and a cozy singer-songwriter lounge complete with sofas.
At the Zamanand Festival, Munich associations, NGOs, Bavarian ministries, and institutions will inform attendees about topics relevant to Munich's society such as environmental protection, science, equality, and consumption. Between the State Library and the university, you can engage in workshops, information booths, and installations to learn how you can contribute to social cohesion in areas like the environment, social issues, and education. The street festival is under the patronage of Mayor Dieter Reiter.
The Department for Climate and Environmental Protection (RKU) will present a significant theme area on climate change and sustainability, featuring interactive activities, workshops, and lectures at Geschwister-Scholl- and Professor-Huber-Platz. A highlight will be the experiential space of the "Re:Think Munich" campaign, equipped with a lounge, streetball court, bubble-blowing station, and comfortable lounging areas.
The "Car-Free Summer" initiative will provide a large activity area from the mobility department where you can test e-bikes, watch BMX stunts, and try parkour. The Super Science Club brings science to the car-free Ludwigstraße with interactive activities, experiments, and discussions on sustainability, diversity, and future topics.
The area in front of the Siegestor will transform into an augmented reality exhibition, showcasing hand-painted images, digital works, sculptures, animations, and AI art that make social issues tangible. A projection by Genelabo will be a highlight on Saturday evening.
