Widersacher aller Liedermacher
The Widersacher aller Liedermacher create a form of avant-garde, refined spirit blues that occupies a niche one didn't even know existed. Their music flows between dark, foggy landscapes and sunlit moods with a surprising ease, especially live, radiating groovy Woodstock vibrations that resonate throughout.
Founded around 2017 by singer Matthias Wolf, the Widersacher emerged from a cabaret project. Most band members had previously played together in various combinations due to their studies at the Würzburg University of Music.
Winning the Bayern2-Heimatsound competition in 2021 brought media attention and led to a performance at the renowned Heimatsound Festival in Oberammergau, along with a feature in the BR program 'Zwischen Spessart und Karwendel'. They have also performed in the southern German region at events like the Taubertal Festival, Humulus Lupulus, and support shows for Dicht&Ergreifend and Pam Pam Ida.
