Warhaus

Backstage Werk

On Monday, December 8, 2025, from 20:00 to 23:00, come experience the mesmerizing sounds of Warhaus, the solo project of Maarten Devoldere, known for being a vital part of the Belgian music scene alongside artists like Stromae, Lost Frequencies, and Gotye. Devoldere, who began his solo career in 2016 after being a co-vocalist and guitarist for the band Balthazar, released his debut album, 'We Fucked A Flame Into Being,' that same year. Drawing inspiration from the novel 'Lady Chatterly,' the album explores intimate human connections, with contributions from his long-time musical partner and lover, Sylvie Kreusch, adding a unique touch to the dark, sultry Warhaus sound.

His subsequent albums, 'Warhaus' (2017) and 'Ha Ha Heartbreak' (2022), continue to showcase his cinematic sound, influenced by icons like Nick Cave and Tom Waits. Recently, on November 22, 2024, Warhaus released his fourth album, 'Karaoke Moon,' heralded by the introspective single 'Where The Names Are Real'. This album marks yet another chapter in his exploration of love, delivered in a spoken-word style against a backdrop of haunting melodies.
