Frank Sinatra takes center stage at this year's Oberhaching Jazz Festival, under the artistic direction of Bernd Lhotzky, a prominent ambassador of classic jazz piano in Germany for over three decades. Joining him is Denny Ilett, renowned worldwide as a singer, virtuoso guitarist, and skilled arranger, as they explore Sinatra's repertoire in a respectful yet personal manner. The Denny Ilett Septet, formed specifically for 'A Tribute to Frank Sinatra', features star trumpeter Colin Dawson and talented musicians including Engelbert Wrobel, Duke Heitger, Paolo Alderighi, and Bernard Flegar. The evening opens with a highlight from jazz history: 'Doin' the Voom Voom', a piece recorded by Bernd Lhotzky and Duke Heitger in 2008. Following intermission, the septet will present 'A Tribute To Frank Sinatra: The Middle Years'.
