Skelette - Choreografen der Bewegung

Animals swim, climb, run, jump, or fly: it's impressive how nature has designed various structures for their diverse movements. A key role is played by the skeleton, which varies in construction depending on lifestyle yet follows a common basic blueprint. The diversity of skeletal forms, from the shrew to the hippopotamus and from the parrotfish to the owl, can be admired through high-quality skeletal preparations.

X-ray images provide insight into the dynamic nature of these seemingly rigid skeletal structures. These documentaries reveal how fascinating the choreography is behind these movement patterns.

Bones: Marvels of Nature

The fascinating aspect of skeletons is their living material: bones. They constantly adapt to new stresses, changing over time, and thus are the focus of the exhibition. Visitors will explore the structure of bones, learn about ongoing processes, and understand associated diseases.

Bones tell a lot about a person's life! You will have the chance to explore your own skeleton and receive tips on how to train your bones. Additionally, the exhibition demonstrates how nature has inspired technology and the ways in which bones are utilized as raw materials.
