Shu Lea Cheang ,,KI$$ KI$$"
The exhibition explores three scenarios featuring interactive objects, drawing inspiration from Cheang's dystopian experimental film 'Fresh Kills' from 1994. It showcases updated and previously unpublished work by the artist, highlighting her visionary techniques. Visitors can engage with various internet-based installations, software interactions, and multiplayer performances, encouraging active participation rather than mere observation.
Cheang's art can be described as an 'experience machine,' as her futuristic narratives often revolve around non-human intelligences, both artificial and natural. This exhibition continues the Haus der Kunst's commitment to contemporary and new media, following showcases by Dumb Type, Tony Cokes, and WangShui.
