The 19th International DANCE Festival in Munich takes place from May 22 to June 1, 2025, spanning 11 days with 19 productions and 45 performances across 12 venues. This edition emphasizes artistic intensity and has notably expanded its presence throughout the city. Under the new artistic director Tobias Staab, and with the city of Munich's support, institutions and locations that have never participated in the festival before have joined in, including the Volkstheater, Haus der Kunst, LEHNBACHHAUS / KUNSTBAU, and the former riding hall UTOPIA. The festival features venues that break away from the traditional stage-audience dynamic, offering new viewing experiences. The program includes several performative productions at the intersection of dance and visual arts, with shows held directly in museums and galleries.
