Join us for an exciting evening of music featuring the inaugural niq/exchange concert on May 27, 2025, from 19:30 to 23:00 at the Black Box in Fat Cat (formerly Gasteig). The niq collective aims to create a networking and exchange platform for Munich's musicians while connecting them to the broader jazz and improvised music scene.

This event will showcase the Hamburg drummer Silvan Strauß and his band alongside feature artist Salomea. The night will begin with a performance from the progressive Munich band, ENDERN, who will set the stage with their unique sound.

Silvan Strauß, on his second album FLUKIN', explores the roots of acoustic jazz while incorporating influences from British hip-hop, electronica, neo-soul, and Moroccan gnawa music. The result is a captivating blend of soul, dub, funk, and electronic effects.

ENDERN, a trio that fuses acoustic and electronic sounds, oscillates between dreamy sound utopias and high-energy interactions, breaking conventional genre boundaries with influences from serialism, avant-garde, and contemporary ambient music.

The highlight of the evening is a unique collaborative set between the bands, allowing for spontaneous musical exchanges that reflect the essence of the niq collective.
