Mitleidsprotokoll - every tear recorded
Premiere: 19.02.2026, 19:30 Uhr
Join us for a powerful theatrical experience at the Münchner Kammerspiele - Werkraum, where Ruben Müller's final production delves into the poignant texts of Hervé Guibert. This collage, inspired by Guibert's writings, photographs, and documentaries from the late 1980s, confronts the realities of his battle with AIDS and the experiences of those around him. Guibert's work is marked by radical honesty and self-reflection, exploring the significance of documenting pain and vulnerability during desperate times.
The performance, titled Mitleidsprotokoll - every tear recorded, reflects on the absence of happy endings and the importance of remembering these stories in the context of queer lives today. It challenges us to consider how our visions for a just and free future are rooted in memories of suffering and loss.
Featuring actors Julius Gruner, Elisabeth Nittka, and Konstantin Schumann, under the direction of Ruben Müller. The set design and video work are crafted by Chloe Kelly, with costumes by Jacqueline Elaine Koch and dramaturgy by Paulina Wawerla.
After the performance on 20.02.2026, attend the Junge Nacht, a discussion featuring the cast and moderated by the Kammer Club, providing an opportunity for audience engagement and reflection.
