KÖRPERWELTEN | München | Zeitfensterticket
In the exhibition KÖRPERWELTEN - Am Puls der Zeit, curator Dr. Angelina Whalley presents the human body in various facets, highlighting its immense potential and vulnerability in the face of 21st-century challenges. The theme 'At the Pulse of Time' serves as a reflection on the speed of modern life and its impact on our bodies and health. Dr. Whalley emphasizes that our bodies mirror our lifestyle choices: every action we take, whether it's being physically active, our dietary habits, stress levels, or the quality of our social and family environments, influences our physical health, both positively and negatively.
Beyond insights into nutrition, exercise, and immune system enhancement, the exhibition illustrates how individuals can achieve a healthy and long life in today's world. KÖRPERWELTEN aims to fundamentally change our perspective on ourselves and our lifestyles. More than 56 million people worldwide have embarked on this journey of self-discovery. Visitors will receive a detailed understanding of human anatomy, from the skeleton to muscle interactions and fetal development. A wide array of real human specimens, including impressive full-body plastinates, partial plastinates, transparent body slices, and individual organs, provide comprehensive insights into human anatomy and physiology, clarifying body and organ functions, as well as common civilization-related diseases and their origins.
