In the exhibition KÖRPERWELTEN - Am Puls der Zeit, curator Dr. Angelina Whalley presents the human body in many facets, illustrating its vast potential as well as its vulnerability in the face of the challenges it faces in the 21st century. The theme 'At the Pulse of Time' reflects on the speed of modern life and its impact on our bodies and health. The aim is to demonstrate that the body is a mirror of our lifestyle. Everything we do or fail to do--whether we are physically active, how we eat, whether we are under constant stress, and the quality of our familial or social environment--has a reciprocal effect on our body, both positively and negatively.

The exhibition goes beyond explanations about nutrition, movement, or strengthening the immune system, showcasing how to achieve a healthy and long life in today's world. KÖRPERWELTEN is an exhibition that fundamentally changes our perspective on ourselves and our way of life. Over 56 million people worldwide have embarked on this journey of self-discovery. From the human skeleton to the interaction of muscles and development in the womb, visitors receive a detailed insight into the structure of their inner being. A variety of real human specimens, including impressive full-body plastinates, partial plastinates, transparent body slices, and individual organs allow for a comprehensive view of human anatomy and physiology, clearly explaining the functions of bodies and organs as well as common civilization-related diseases and their origins.
