Körperwelten - Am Puls der Zeit
From April 11, 2025, the plastinator Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley will present their latest exhibition, "Körperwelten München - Am Puls der Zeit," at the Kleine Olympiahalle in Munich. This exhibition returns to the Bavarian capital, where Körperwelten previously captivated audiences in 2003 and 2014.
The world's most successful anatomy exhibition explores the human body in various facets, highlighting its vulnerabilities and potentials in light of the challenges of the 21st century. Curator Dr. Angelina Whalley invites visitors to critically reflect on the constant overstimulation of modern life and its long-term effects on body and mind. She aims to encourage individuals to take responsibility for their own health.
Beyond discussions on nutrition, exercise, and immune system strengthening, the exhibition illustrates how to achieve a healthy and long life in today's world. More than 56 million people globally have embarked on this self-discovery journey through the human body.
The exhibition features fascinating real human specimens, including numerous full-body plastinates, providing comprehensive insights into the complex structure of our inner life and explaining the functionality and interaction of body systems and organs, as well as common diseases and their origins.
The displayed plastinates are sourced from the body donation program of the Institute for Plastination in Heidelberg, which has over 21,000 registered individuals.
