Johannes Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem

ST. BARTHOLOMÄUS
On April 10, 1868, Johannes Brahms' Requiem op. 45 premiered in Bremen, marking the beginning of its enduring tradition as a staple in concert repertoires. This profound sacred work is celebrated for its emotional depth and musical sophistication. Under the direction of Ricarda Geary, the performance will feature the Kammerchor Oberhaching along with the large school choir from the Gymnasium, the Kammerorchester Oberhaching, and brass players from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. The talented soprano Laura Richter, a multiple award-winner, will grace the stage as a soloist, alongside the accomplished baritone Gerrit Illenberger, a member of the Junge Ensemble at the Semperoper since the start of the 2023/24 season.
