On Friday, April 18, 2025, from 19:00 to 22:00, the Münchner Motettenchor will present one of the most moving works by Johann Sebastian Bach: the Johannes-Passion. Since 1965, this composition has been a staple in their program, captivating audiences with its profound musical portrayal of the final hours of Jesus Christ. Bach himself sought the perfect rendition of this significant narrative throughout his life. Today, the Johannes-Passion has emerged from the shadow of the Matthäus-Passion, resonating with listeners worldwide as it beautifully conveys one of the most important events in Christianity.
