Join us for the Passionskonzert presented by the Vokalensemble 1600, under the direction of Christoph Hauser. The ensemble is dedicated to vocal music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. This year's concert features well-known works by Orlando di Lasso and Gregorio Allegri, as well as rarely performed compositions by Gombert and Cardoso. The exploration of suffering and death inspired these compositions, which range from somber to hopeful and deeply moving. Christoph Hauser will also include organ music by Bach, Scheidt, and Glass in the program.
