,,... ich bin kein Dichter"
Immerse yourself in a unique Mozart performance that transcends the boundaries of traditional classical music. On Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 16:00 to 17:30, the ensemble vodeon presents "... I am not a poet" at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk in Munich. This innovative event combines the beauty of Mozart's sacred music with new words, light, and dance painting.
In a letter to his father in 1777, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart declared he was not a poet, painter, or dancer, but solely a musician, expressing his thoughts and feelings through sound. This performance invites audiences to explore the idea that text can also be an independent work of art seeking autonomy and freedom.
Vodeon will perform Mozart's works in an intimate classical setting, featuring soloists and piano, while also integrating elements of light and dance painting to reflect the rich colors of his music. The result is a spontaneous, integrative artistic experience, showcasing Mozart as a poet, painter, dancer, and musician.
Featured works include excerpts from:
- "Exsultate Jubilate" KV 165
- Great Mass in C minor KV 427
- "Coronation Mass" KV 317
- Requiem KV 626
