Join us for a captivating evening at the Herrenchiemsee Festspiele 2025, featuring the renowned Orchestra of KlangVerwaltung conducted by Kent Nagano. The concert will take place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 19:00 in the magnificent Schloss Herrenchiemsee, located on Herreninsel. The program includes:

  • Mendelssohn Bartholdy: "Die Hebriden" - Overture in B minor, Op. 26
  • Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25 featuring pianist Mari Kodama
  • Brahms: Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73

As part of the Herrenchiemsee Festspiele, which runs from July 15 to July 27, 2025, we aim to recreate the historical ambiance of King Ludwig II's era through our services and decor. We encourage attendees to dress in formal attire or traditional garments to enhance the festive atmosphere. Concerts begin at 19:00 with an introductory talk at 18:00, held in the Unfinished Staircase (for concerts on Herreninsel) and at Hotel "Zur Linde" (for concerts on Fraueninsel).

Ticket holders benefit from:

  • One-time, all-day valid round-trip transportation to Herreninsel or Fraueninsel
  • Free parking at the large parking lot in Prien/Stock
  • Free entry to introductory talks at 18:00
  • Limited capacity for accessible shuttle buses on Herreninsel

On the event day, attendees can purchase a discounted island ticket for the royal palace and museums on Herreninsel at the Info Center with their concert ticket.
