GREY
GREY is a dance theater piece created by Sophie Haydee Colindres Zühlke and Serhat "Saïd" Perhat. It explores the dystopian aspects of our world, as society increasingly veers towards political turmoil and dark future visions. The performance raises questions about the potential structures of future societies: will isolation, competition, and binary thinking remain dominant, or can new spaces emerge from the cracks of the old world?
The dance project GREY seeks to discover these in-between spaces. Nine individuals come together on stage to explore what divides and unites them, and how they can form a larger whole from their individual pieces. Set against the backdrop of a dystopian world, the personalities and stories of the dancers gradually unfold as they search for their own paths within a harsh society. They begin to connect, influence one another, and inspire each other through their diverse movements, culminating in a pulsating interplay.
This performance combines contemporary dance with urban aesthetics, illustrating how dance can transform personal narratives within the urban space into a shared experience.
