AUSLAND
Jefta van Dinther's AUSLAND explores the human desire to immerse oneself in alternative realities and lose oneself within them. The audience moves freely through an immersive setting that transforms the West Gallery of Haus der Kunst into a dreamlike labyrinth. Each viewer embarks on an individual journey filled with human and inhuman encounters. Between dance and song, ritual and gaming, the bodies of the performers navigate cinematic imagery, creating touching moments of tenderness and vulnerability.
The Swedish-Dutch choreographer Jefta van Dinther, who lives and works in Berlin, has seen his works tour worldwide and has previously presented at the Tanzwerkstatt Europa in Munich. AUSLAND marks his largest interdisciplinary project to date and is a collaboration between the International DANCE Festival Munich and Tanzwerkstatt Europa. The musical composition for the performance is by Billy Bultheel, known for his work with artist Anne Imhof, and his compositions are released under the Berlin label PAN-Records.
