Aleksandra Mikulska spielt Chopin
Join us for a captivating evening as Aleksandra Mikulska, a renowned Polish pianist, performs a selection of works by the legendary composer Frédéric Chopin, along with pieces from Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Haydn, and Franz Liszt. Known for her heartfelt and personal interpretations, Mikulska aims to transport the audience to different worlds through her music.
Growing up in Warsaw, Mikulska developed a deep passion for Chopin's piano compositions from an early age. She was awarded as the best Polish pianist at the Chopin Competition in 2005. Her studies took her to prestigious institutions in Karlsruhe, Imola, and Hannover. Since 2021, she has been a professor of piano at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden.
Mikulska actively collaborates with esteemed orchestras and performs at notable venues, also contributing to the cultural exchange between Germany and Poland as the president of the Chopin Society in Darmstadt. Her program for this concert includes some of Chopin's most famous works, such as Mazurkas, Waltzes, the Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp minor, Op. 66, the Scherzo in B-flat minor, Op. 31, and the Grande Polonaise Brillante, Op. 22. The evening will be enriched by her insights into the pieces and Chopin's life, enhancing the audience's understanding and appreciation of this beautiful music.
