Dog Causes Traffic Accident on Country Road in Fretterode

Fretterode - A loose dog was the cause of a traffic accident on the B1002 road on Tuesday evening around 6:40 PM. An automobile driver was heading towards Gerbershausen when the animal unexpectedly darted onto the roadway, resulting in a collision that could not be avoided.

Authorities were called to the scene, and upon their arrival, they located the injured dog in a nearby field. The animal received immediate veterinary care to address its injuries. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle emerged unscathed; however, her car sustained considerable damage due to the incident.

Later, the owner of the dog contacted law enforcement to report the situation. The police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

This event highlights the importance of pet supervision, especially in areas adjacent to roadways, to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
