Danish Supermarkets Take Stand Against Trump's Trade Policies

Danish supermarket chains have recently begun marking products from European producers with a star symbol to counter the trade policies of U.S. President Donald Trump. This initiative aims to raise consumer awareness regarding the origin of food products and promote European goods. A survey conducted by YouGov on behalf of the German Press Agency indicates that a significant majority of people in Germany support similar measures, with 47% fully endorsing the labeling of European products and 30% expressing a more moderate approval.

The survey, which included 2,055 participants aged 18 and older, reveals a clear public sentiment favoring transparency in product sourcing. As a response to consumer inquiries, Danish supermarket chains such as Føtex, Netto, and Bilka have started to display this star symbol on price tags, making it easier for shoppers to identify and choose food items produced in Europe.

On a different note, a significant shake-up has occurred within the U.S. health sector. Reports suggest that Peter Marks, a prominent vaccine expert at the FDA, has been pressured to leave his position. Marks, who played a crucial role during the initial stages of the COVID-19 vaccine development under Trump's administration, reportedly faced an ultimatum to resign or be dismissed.
