Munich. A taxi driver suffered a head injured when was he struck by a cyclist yesterday at the OEZ. The cyclist fled the scene.
The 40 year old taxi driver came out of the Olympia shopping centre on Tuesday afternoon, walked towards his taxi and crossed a cycle lane at Hanauer Straße. The biker was following the road out of town and was apparently not able to react in time and collided with the pedestrian. Both of them fell onto the ground.
Passing pedestrians aided the injured taxi driver and asked the cyclist to stay. However he rode off along the cyclist path and has not been located. The taxi driver, who suffered a laceration, is being treated in hospital.
