As the spring season approaches, organizers of open-air events and festivals across Brandenburg are actively preparing for the upcoming cultural calendar of 2025. With ticket sales already underway for many events, the cultural scene is set to flourish, particularly around the Easter period.

The Easter Festival at Schloss Rheinsberg, running from April 17 to 21, will feature a diverse program that includes opera, theater, and concerts, focusing on the works of Goethe and Mozart. The event is expected to attract approximately 1,000 attendees across its five main performances.

In addition to classical offerings, the region will host festive gatherings such as the Tulip Festival in the Dutch Quarter of Potsdam and the popular Baumblütenfest in Werder, which runs from April 26 to May 4. The latter event is also seeking a new Baumblüten Queen.

For fans of heavier music, the 'Metal Power Open Air' festival is scheduled for May 29 to 31 in Wittstock, promising a lineup that caters to enthusiasts of rock and metal genres. Furthermore, the Pfingstrock Festival will take place in the Botanical Garden of Herzberg on June 7 and 8.

June will also see the return of the Fontane Festival in Neuruppin, celebrating the works of the renowned writer Theodor Fontane, who was born in the city. This literary event is set to take place over the Pfingst days and will highlight Fontane's significant contributions to literature.

The 62nd Choriner Musiksommer will commence from June 21 to August 31, showcasing a variety of orchestras against the backdrop of the historic Kloster Chorin. Attendees can look forward to performances featuring film scores from notable movies such as 'The Name of the Rose' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame.'

Another highlight of the summer will be the Potsdam Music Festival, running from June 13 to 29, themed 'Grand Tour'. This festival aims to offer a broad range of musical experiences at UNESCO World Heritage sites, including performances of early music and chansons, alongside unique bike and hiking concerts.

As July arrives, the city of Brandenburg an der Havel will transform into an expansive open-air stage, hosting the Sound City Festival from July 25 to 27, featuring performances from various music and art schools.

August will culminate in the Potsdam Palace Night on the 22nd and 23rd, a much-anticipated event that drew approximately 35,000 visitors last year. This year's theme, 'Potsdam Dances', will be highlighted with promotional ticket discounts.

Finally, the Lausitz Art Festival will kick off on August 25 in South Brandenburg and East Saxony, featuring a special early bird discount for the revival of the acclaimed play 'Othello / The Strangers' in Weißwasser, which received positive feedback in 2024. The regular ticket sales for this festival will begin on April 7.
