Up to 33 degrees this weekend in Berlin and Brandenburg

Lots of sun and temperatures above 30 degrees should attract many people in Berlin and Brandenburg to swimming pools and lakes this weekend. On Friday, it will remain sunny and dry, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in the morning. According to the report, temperatures will rise to highs between 29 and 31 degrees.

In the night, the peak of the Perseids shooting stars is expected. With clear skies and no rain, the spectacle in the sky should be easy to observe, only the currently bright moonlight could interfere. Temperatures are forecast to drop to 17 to 13 degrees. The Perseids are a cloud of debris from comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle that Earth dips into every year as it orbits the sun.

According to the DWD, it should be sunny at first on Saturday, but in the course of the day, more source clouds are expected to move in. Especially in Lusatia, there may also be light showers and isolated thunderstorms may move in from the direction of Poland.

Nevertheless, it should remain hot according to the forecast. Temperatures are expected to reach the 30-degree mark again with highs between 30 and 32 degrees. In the night to Sunday it will remain mild with lows between 19 and 15 degrees.

On Sunday, according to the forecast, there will again be plenty of sunshine and it will remain largely dry. With highs between 29 and 33 degrees, it will be even hotter.
