Break-In at Bockhorn Shed Results in Theft of Tools Worth EUR1,000

Walsrode - In the early hours of Thursday, an unknown individual or group forcibly entered a shed located in Bockhorn, leading to the theft of various tools valued at approximately EUR1,000. Local authorities are currently investigating the incident and are seeking assistance from the public.

The Walsrode police have urged anyone with information regarding suspicious persons or vehicles seen in the vicinity to contact them at 05161-48640.

In a related incident, between Wednesday evening and Thursday evening, a black BMW X6 (2013 model), which was in need of repairs, was stolen from the roadside on Bornberg in the Bothmer district. The Schwarmstedt police are also requesting tips regarding this theft and can be reached at 05071-800350.

On Thursday afternoon, an accident occurred when a 51-year-old female driver failed to yield while turning off the L190 onto the A27 (Walsrode South) entry ramp, resulting in a collision with an oncoming vehicle. Both the driver at fault and the 52-year-old driver of the other car sustained minor injuries. The damage from the accident is estimated at around EUR7,500.

Separately, on February 7, 2025, in Soltau, two unidentified suspects attempted to assault a 17-year-old by pushing him off his bicycle near Feldstraße No. 8. Fortunately, the victim managed to escape unharmed. The assailants, described as wearing dark clothing, are believed to be between 16 and 20 years old. The Central Criminal Service is collecting information about this incident and can be contacted at 05191-93800.

Additionally, on January 3, 2025, a group of youths allegedly attempted to cause property damage at a TEDI store near the train station. They initially set off firecrackers outside the store before throwing another explosive device inside. The group fled towards the city center, and descriptions of the individuals include one wearing gray joggers and a hoodie, while another was noted to be in a black bomber jacket and described as having a beard. Information regarding this incident is also being sought by the Central Criminal Service at 05191-93800.
