Attempted Armed Robbery in Bielefeld Involving Knives and Stones

Bielefeld witnessed a disturbing incident on the evening of March 7, 2025, when five men attempted to rob two individuals near the main train station. The victims, a 34-year-old from Bad Oeynhausen and an 18-year-old from Bielefeld, were walking towards the station around 8:45 PM when they were approached by an unidentified man.

The assailant inquired about the availability of cocaine. When the victims responded that they did not sell drugs, the situation escalated. The initial attacker summoned four accomplices to the scene and brandished a knife, while one of the new arrivals wielded a stone.

The robber with the knife demanded that the victims surrender their mobile phones. In response to the threat, the two men fled towards the main train station, seeking refuge at the Federal Police station. During their escape, one of the assailants threw the stone at them but missed.

According to witness descriptions, the primary suspect, who brandished the knife, is estimated to be around 20 years old, approximately 180 cm tall, and of Southern European appearance. He was reportedly wearing a white parka. The other four individuals involved in the attempted robbery also matched similar physical characteristics.
