Sex Workers in Berlin Stand Trial After Client Dies Following Injections in BDSM Studio

Mon 8th Jun, 2026

Two professional dominatrices are currently facing trial at the Berlin Regional Court after a client died during a session at a BDSM studio in Charlottenburg. The incident, which occurred in April 2024, involves allegations of administering a local anesthetic that ultimately resulted in the man's death. The women, aged 41 and 42, are accused of committing bodily harm resulting in death and acting negligently in the administration of the drug.

According to court documents, the deceased, a 41-year-old man, had been a regular client of one of the defendants, known in the studio by the pseudonym Lady V. Their professional relationship had developed since early 2024, with meetings arranged at various locations. The client reportedly expressed a specific interest in exploring pain thresholds and bodily limits through the use of anesthetics as part of BDSM practices.

The anesthetic procain, commonly used in dental treatments to numb pain, was allegedly chosen to facilitate these activities. Prosecutors state that the client and Lady V. had an agreement regarding the use of procain for certain sexual practices. However, neither Lady V. nor her colleague, Lady A., had formal medical qualifications or substantial experience with anesthetic administration. Lady V. sought Lady A.'s assistance for the injections, with both women preparing multiple syringes for the session.

The session took place in a specialized room of the studio, designated for clinical roleplay scenarios. After the initial injections, the session continued in a different room. Near the end of the encounter, Lady V. is said to have administered an additional saline injection. Shortly after, the client lost consciousness. Efforts were made by the two women and other studio employees to resuscitate him, and emergency services were contacted immediately. Paramedics arrived promptly, but all attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the court proceedings, both defendants have chosen not to provide personal statements regarding the events, instead allowing their legal representatives to speak on their behalf. Lady V.'s defense team described her background as a trained tax assistant and emphasized her dual roles as a mother and a part-time dominatrix. Lady A.'s legal counsel highlighted her current employment as a care worker and her decision to leave the BDSM profession following the incident. Neither defendant has a criminal record, and both maintain that the use of procain was at the client's explicit request.

The prosecution contends that the women acted with gross negligence by administering a medical substance with significant health risks without proper training or supervision. The court is examining whether the defendants were aware of the dangers and if they took adequate precautions to ensure the client's safety. The defense argues that the client was fully informed of the risks and actively sought the experience, asserting that he appeared lucid and untroubled before the fatal reaction occurred.

The case has drawn attention to the practices within certain segments of the adult entertainment industry, particularly the intersection of medical procedures and sexual services. Legal experts note that while consensual activities between adults are generally permitted, the administration of controlled substances without proper qualifications can lead to serious legal consequences. The trial is ongoing, with further hearings scheduled to determine the extent of responsibility borne by the defendants and to clarify the exact cause of death.
